Marie Piazza

Marie Piazza is a strategic client and commercial leader with over 25 years of experience supporting nonclinical development across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, agrochemical, consumer product, and contract research industries. With a strong scientific foundation, her expertise spans client and business operations, nonclinical testing services, commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, and the development and growth of scientific service offerings.

Throughout her career, Marie has worked at the intersection of client needs, scientific operations, and commercial strategy. She has partnered with CRO leadership teams to evaluate commercial and operational gaps, strengthen service portfolios and internal processes, expand into new markets, and support the integration of specialized capabilities into larger organizations. Marie has held client-facing and commercial leadership roles with Charles River Laboratories, BioReliance, StageBio, and Ncardia and is the founder of MAP Strategic Consulting.

At Akkeri, Marie serves as Director, Client & Business Operations, working across clients, consultants, and internal teams to strengthen relationships, support business operations, and align Akkeri’s expertise with client and program needs. A relationship-driven leader, Marie values collaboration, communication, and practical problem-solving. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, live music, and the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
